The Fall RRC Group Program Lineup

I’m always torn between mindfully enjoying summer and planning for fall, and I think this is just another case where balance is the way to go (and let’s be honest, there’s no way around the fall scheduling starting in the summer). Before schedule’s fill up I wanted to share the plan for the RRC groups running this fall.
Here is the lineup:
Social Skills: Social skills groups focus on helping individuals learn and practice skills to support how they interact and engage with peers their age. Social Skills groups can help kids learn conversational, friendship, and problem-solving skills.
Note: We will be offering two Social Skills groups this fall, one for middle schoolers and one for elementary school aged children. Both groups will begin mid-September. Official start dates coming soon.
Elementary School group: Wednesdays from 5-6pm.
Middle School group: Fridays from 3:30-4:30pm.
Middle School Friendship & Emotions: This group is focused on common stressors for early adolescent girls. Topics for this group will include friendship, bullying, how to navigate social media, coping skills and emotion regulation.
This group is tentatively set for Thursdays at 5pm.
Parenting Group: This is our newest group at the RRC. This group will include discussion of common challenges parents are facing and strategies to try at home.
The time and start date are TBD.
If you’re interested in having your child participate in one of the groups, or if you’d like to be on the list for the parent group, please either just reply to the newsletter email, or contact Kate directly at: kate.taylor.phd@gmail.com. If there is a group that’s not currently in the lineup that you’re interested in, don’t hesitate to pass that information along, too.
Wishing you a happy August and smooth scheduling for fall!
